Residing in 40% less space than comparable quarter bricks, the CBE1448G1 eighth-brick, isolated C-BUS dc/dc converter reports a market first with a power density of 197 W/in³. The converter operates at efficiencies up to 94% with input voltages from 42V to 53V and an output range of 9.7V to 13.3V at 14A. It supports two-stage power conversions in 48V systems, and a proprietary driver minimizes switching losses. Other features include 1.5 kVdc of input-to-output isolation, no minimum load requirements, constant frequency operation, and auto restart after fault shutdown. Price is $34 each/1,000.
