The new Industrial Series DC converters consist of the ASA and AEE models. Designed for wide input-voltage applications, the ASA series dc/dc converters can deliver 6W from input-voltage ranges of 9 to 36 Vdc and 18 to 75 Vdc and 10W from input voltages of 18 to 36 Vdc and 36 to 75 Vdc. The AEE single-output series supplies can deliver 15W from input voltages of 9 to 36 Vdc and 18 to 75 Vdc. With a selection of single- and dual-output voltages from 3.3 to 15 Vdc, both series come in encapsulated DIP packages measuring 1.25" x 0.8" for ASA models and 1" x 2" for the AEE models. All models meet 1.5 kVdc input-to-output isolation requirements and specify a mean time between failures of one million hours. Operating temperature ranges are –40°C to +71°C (6W/15W units) and –40°C to 60°C (10W models). Other shared features include over-current and short-circuit protection with automatic restart. Prices start at $10.34 each in OEM quantities. ASTEC POWER, Carlsbad, CA. (760) 930-4600.
