The R65 65W family of power supply units (PSUs) measure 3" x 5" and reportedly can operate at full load at temperatures 30% higher than comparable supplies. The PSUs operate at full load at up to 60°C as opposed to the more common 40°C to 45°C. This is said to allow close matching of supply specs without having to over-specify in order to compensate for thermal degradation. Standard features include a universal autoranging input voltage range of 90 to 265 Vac and compliance with UL1950, CSA 1402-3, EN60950, EN55022 Class B, and EN6100-4-4, 5 specifications. Five models are available with outputs ranging from 5V to 48V with a continuous output power of 65W and current ratings from 1.35A to 12A. Each model includes short-circuit protection, a 1% Vp-p at maximum load, and 1% line and load regulation. Prices are around $35 each/100. For more details, call Bob Singh at RADIUS POWER, Orange, CA.
