Available with an input range of either a 9 to 36 Vdc or 18 to 75 Vdc, the 150W HEW series half-brick dc/dc converters deliver output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, and 24V. Measuring 2.3" x 2.4" x 0.55", the modules are encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound to enhance thermal performance in still air or limited-airflow environments. The units also employ aluminum baseplates to support a heatsink or for mounting on an enclosure. Operating in temperatures from -40°C to +100ºC, the converters include pulse-by-pulse current limiting, short-circuit frequency foldback, dead-short shutdown, and thermal shutdown. Other features include remote output-voltage sensing, output-voltage trim, and an ON/OFF control that reduces input current to 2 mA when the module is off.
