The new L Series of ac/dc power supplies provide 7W/in.³ power density in a compact, 1.58" H x 1.86" W x 10.08" L package. Units can be used alone or combined to provide multiple outputs for powering a wide variety of computing and telecomm applications. Optional droop current sharing with isolation diodes form the basis of a hot-pluggable, redundant system. Other features of the single output L Series switching power supplies include a 0.95 power factor and 80% typical efficiency. The supplies are self-cooled using an integral ball bearing fan and feature a rugged enclosed chassis. The series includes six models, ranging in output from 1.8V at 35A to 48V at 4.2A. And each unit includes over voltage protection, overload and short circuit protection, and reverse voltage protection. And each unit meets all applicable international EMI and safety standards and harmonics requirements. Pricing starts at $197 each.
