Wall Industries’ latest generation of dc-dc power converters delivers 50 W of continuous output power in 2.0- by 1.0- by 0.4-in. encapsulated, shielded metal packages. The DH50 series comprises 3.3-, 5-, 12-, and 15-V dc single-output models that operate over 2:1 input voltage ranges of 9 to 18, 18 to 36, and 36 to 75 V dc. An advanced circuit topology delivers up to 92% efficiency. Operating temperature ranges from -40 to +80°C. Other features include remote on/off control, trimmable output voltage, undervoltage lockout, and 1500-V dc I/O isolation. There are no minimum load requirements; MTBF rating is 227,100 hours using MIL-DHBK-217F at 25°C. The series incorporates short-circuit, overvoltage, overload, and overtemperature protection. Among its applications are battery-operated equipment, instrumentation, and communication/industrial distributed-power architectures.
