In an effort to make cars and light trucks more convenient and comfortable, the firm has announced a new 500-watt DC/AC power inverter to in-vehicle use. The inverter was developed to power devices such as portable televisions, PCs and peripherals and other systems used in vehicles. The device employs intelligent power management in a small, lightweight package. Contained in the inverter is a battery-level warning function featuring a warning and attention buzzer to alert users that the battery is losing power. It also had added protection against short circuits caused by over-current. When the inverter is not connected to a power line, the output becomes intermittent to reduce consumption current. It is also designed to minimize EMI output.
