With nine bus voltages from 3 to 48 Vdc, the company's quarter-brick intermediate bus converter (IBC) modules accept a 38 to 55 Vdc input and deliver output voltages from 3 to 48 Vdc at up to 100A/600W. The modules rely on VoI chip bus converters, which claim to double the power capability of older IBC technologies. They exhibit efficiencies ranging from 95% at 3V to better than 97% at 48V and operate at full power without a heatsink in 200 LFM, 55°C environments. Other features include a response time of 1 ms to 100% step-load changes. Prices start at $0.11/W in OEM quantities. VICOR CORP., Andover, MA. (800) 735-6200.
