With an overall height of just 10 mm, the LS680 cold-cathode fluorescent tube inverter claims to have the lowest profile in the market. The device measures 160 mm x 34 mm and provides an input range of 10.8 to 13.2 Vdc and a total output power of 16 W. A built-in brightness control provides a dimming capability either by pulse width modulation (PWM) or via a dc voltage. Price is $30 each in OEM quantities and is available in sample and production quantities, with delivery from eight to 12 weeks ARO.
