The newest members of the SuperLynx II family of non-isolated dc/dc converters includes the 10A Austin Lynx II and 6A MicroLynx II, available in single inline packages (SIPs), as well as surface-mount packages on tape and reel. The Austin Lynx II measures 50.8 mm x 12.7 mm x 8.1 mm, while the Austin MicroLynx II converters measure 25.4 mm x 12.7 mm x 6.68 mm. The 2.4 to 5.5 Vin MicroLynx II achieves an efficiency of 94% at 3.3V full load, and the Austin Lynx II delivers a 95% efficiency. Both provide a regulated output voltage of 0.75V to 3.3V, programmable via an external resistor. Additionally, they employ the company’s EZ-SEQUENCE power sequencing that supports ratio-metric voltage tracking and traditional cascade sequencing. Prices for the Austin Lynx II and MicroLynx II are $9.80 and $6.90 each/1,000, respectively. TYCO ELECTRONICS POWER SYSTEMS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 526-7819.
