Claimed to deliver 70% more power than the company's previous 6U-sized power supplies, the PLF 5116 ac/dc front-end power supply uses a two-stage topology to deliver a power factor of more than 0.95 combined with high efficiency over a wide input range. Specified for operation from 90 to 275 vac and from 45 to 65 Hz, this 1200-W unit delivers more than 90% efficiency from 50 to 100% of the rated load.
Output voltage is preset to 54.5V, ±100 mV and may be remotely adjusted. Enabling efficient battery charging, the supply is capable of delivering constant power at any voltage from 44 to 58.5V. Ripple is less than 20 mV rms. Pricing is $579 each/100.
