The MEE1 1-W, single-output dc-dc converter offers efficiency that’s up to 8% greater than comparable products, according to developer Murata Power Solutions. Typical efficiency for the pin-compatible, drop-in device ranges from 76% to 86%, depending on output voltage. Load regulation is as low as 3% across the load rate of 10% to 100% for the 24-V dc input/15-V dc output MEE1S2415SC model. A variety of models are available, featuring input voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, or 24 V dc, and output voltage of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, or 15 V dc. Its 1-kV dc isolation allows for configurations that provide an isolated negative rail in systems where there’s only a positive rail. The MEE1 series comes in SIP 4-pin and DIP 8-pin pinout formats. Applications span the industrial, automation, and instrumentation fields.
