Telecomm HDSL/xDSL systems are the primary markets for the CPK-0305/0308 dual output, 6.5W dc/dc converters. Conforming to EN60950 and UL1950 SELV safety standards, the CPK Series offers a wide, 36 to 130 Vdc input range for operation in TNV 48 Vdc line systems without the need for additional converters. The isolated, open frame supplies come with either 3.3V and 5V (CPK-0305) or 5V and-9V (CPK-0308) outputs and are said to require no external cooling or heatsink for operation without power derating over a-25°C to +71°C ambient temperature range. Other features include over-voltage and continuous short-circuit protection, an internal input filter, and an output inhibit/control pin for remote on/off control. Housed in an industry-standard 2.05"L x 1.18"W x 0.492"H package, the CPK converters cost $22 each in OEM quantities. For more information, contact Paul Charrette at ASTRODYNE, Taunton, MA.
