Model Q446 bridge- or strain-gauge input, isolating signal conditioner uses the company's TouchCAL technology, which replaces the mechanical and thermal variability of potentiometers with the electronic stability of a microprocessor. The technology is said to enable up to 90% adjustment of the zero and span and to ensure better long-term performance. The DIN-rail mount device accepts ac power from 85V to 265V and is field configurable via DIP switches for bridge- or strain-gauge inputs from 10 to ±200 mV. Outputs can be configured for 0 to 5V, 0 to 10V, 0 to 1 mA, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA. The device is also said to reduce component count and interconnections by 70%.
