Available in over 100,000 possible configurations, the Sirius line of 250W modular power supplies supports a variety of embedded processor, test, telecommunication and industrial equipment applications. The supplies have an open design that is a result of their planar transformer. FR-4 secondaries and copper stampings (for high-current outputs) are slotted directly into the molding, rather than using secondary windings in the transformer. The resulting open construction reduces interwinding capacitances, which minimizes output noise and improves the supplies' RFI performance. The supplies can have from one to six outputs with 5V or 24V mains and auxiliaries ranging from 1.8V to 28V. Up to four of the six outputs can be floating and are widely adjustable. All models have remote sense, inhibit and ac-fail signaling, as well as short-circuit and thermal protection.
