Using an innovative topology with special integrated magnetics to reduce component count compared with other converters, the PD300-03 dc-to-dc converters are said to offer 50% more power (200W vs. 130W) and a lower profile (0.40" vs. 0.53") than other standard full-brick footprint (4.5" x 2.4") converters. The new converters offer power densities of 90 W/in.3, operating efficiencies of 90%, and total isolation of input, output and baseplate. They operate at a fixed frequency of 375 kHz and can handle input voltages of 24, 48, 150 or 300 vdc to provide an output of 3.3V at up to 60A. Output voltage can be trimmed from 65% to 110%. Peak output ripple is less than 1%.
