Front Ends Come With Active PFC

The RS Series front ends have 2500W output with active power factor correction in two models of 24 vdc at 104.2A and 48 vdc at 52.1A. Power density is 11W/in.3 in a fan-cooled, low profile case with dimensions of 3.3" x 4.9" x 14". Two

The RS Series front ends have 2500W output with active power factor correction in two models of 24 vdc at 104.2A and 48 vdc at 52.1A. Power density is 11W/in.3 in a fan-cooled, low profile case with dimensions of 3.3" x 4.9" x 14". Two other models come with identical performance with the addition of output isolation diodes for parallel and/or redundant applications. The front ends are designed to drive a dc power bus for distributed power systems using dc-to-dc converters. The series has a Class B input EMI filter, single-wire current sharing between units, no minimum load requirements, and 250,000 hours MTBF by the Bellcore method. And the supplies have a 5V, 100 mA independent supervisory output. They also offer over-voltage, thermal, overload and short-circuit protection and a number of control and monitoring functions. Input voltage range is 170 to 264 vac, and efficiency is 82% to 85%.
