Said to provide the highest efficiency levels available from commercial dc/dc converters, the QHS Series of 1/4 brick dc/dc power conversion products delivers an efficiency of 88% at 25A. The units are available in a 2.28" x 1.45" x 0.5" form factor embracing two output models of 3.3V at 25A and 2.5V at 25A. Other features of QHS Series converters include an input of 48V nominal and a range of 36V to 75V and an industry-standard pinout. Targeted applications include optical networking (DWDM) equipment, xDSL equipment, and telecomm switching systems. Pricing starts at $90 per unit on an annual purchase basis of 1,000 units.
