The company's latest 48 to12V dc/dc converter claims to provide clean power suitable for 12V solenoids, relays and other electrical systems. For operation under the most harsh and demanding conditions, the IP67 rated unit is fully sealed and potted in an enclosure to protect against moisture, shock and vibration. Power from a battery or other source from 35V to 65V is converted to a 12V output regulated to 0.5%. The unit has a current output capability of 15A nominal with a 20A peak and manages heat dissipation with no need for a forced cooling system. Short circuit and reverse polarity protection are provided. Designed with rugged surge and transient suppression, the unit also provides sustained over/under voltage protection. With a rating of 180 VA of output power, the converter incorporates a proprietary dual-phase topology for an efficiency of greater than 93%.
