DC/DC Modules Deliver Up To 60A In Half-Brick Package

May 1, 2001
Extending the PKL 4000 family, the 1.8V/60A PKL 4118 PIT and the 1.8V/50A PKL4918 PIT dc/dc converters are said to double the power density of other half-brick modules. With an efficiency of 87% at 60A, these modules can handle input voltages from 36V

Extending the PKL 4000 family, the 1.8V/60A PKL 4118 PIT and the 1.8V/50A PKL4918 PIT dc/dc converters are said to double the power density of other half-brick modules. With an efficiency of 87% at 60A, these modules can handle input voltages from 36V to 75V and provide up to 1,500 Vdc of isolation.
In addition to standard industry pins, the modules provide two additional output pins for current handling. Both converters measure just 61 x 61 x 12.5 mm and include short-circuit and over-voltage protection. The PKL 4118 costs $154 and the PKL 4918 costs $144.
