Targeting PDAs, digital cameras, MPEG players and other portable electronic products requiring tiny, low wattage power supplies, the PSA-05R series accepts a universal, 90-264 Vac input and delivers a single output of 3.3V to 12V, depending on model, with the 5W power adapters making the Vac-to-Vdc conversion in a package measuring just 2.8" x 1.8" x 1.4" and weighing only 4 oz. The switchers also feature a 10-ms holdup time at full load, allowing uninterrupted operation during momentary power outages. And they are said to be protected from numerous electrical faults and, unlike many switching power supplies, require no minimum load to operate. The PSA-05R double-insulated adapters are safety approved to UL1950 and meet CE (LVD and EMC) requirements, as well as meeting FCC class B and EN55022B conducted noise limits. And leakage current is under 250 µA. The supplies come with a 70" cable with center-positive 2.1-mm barrel connector and are priced at $13.30 each/100.
