The SQM48T/S25 series is claimed as the industry’s first 25A, one-eighth brick dc/dc converters. They are pin-for-pin compatible with quarter bricks and come in an open-frame package that does not require a heat sink. Input voltages range from 36V to 75V with standard output voltages of 2.5V, 2V, 1.8V, 1.5V, and 1.2V. Measuring 22.8 mm x 58.4mm 7.1 mm and weighing 18.5 g, the converters meet the basic insulation requirements of EN60950. Other features include remote sense, input under-voltage lockout, thermal shutdown, remote on/off, output voltage adjust pin, output over-voltage, and over-current and short-circuit protection circuitry. Similar to the company’s other dc/dc converters, the 25A SQM Series comes in both through-hole and surface mount packages. Samples are available and price is $62 each/1,000.
