Outfitting POL applications, the ATH series dc/dc converter modules provide outputs from 6A to 30A and include high-efficiency versions that are compatible with the recent Point-of-Load Alliance (POLA) form, fit, and function standard. The modules exploit AutoTrack sequencing technology that allows the non-isolated modules to track each other or any external control voltage, facilitating multiple modules to power up and down in sequence with no external circuitry. Depending on the module, efficiencies are as high as 96%. Available in open-frame, through-hole, or surface-mount configurations, single-output modules specify input voltages of 3.3, 5, or 12V with adjustable output voltages of 0.8V to 5.5V. Shared features include pre-bias startup, margin up/down control, on/off inhibit, output over-current protection, and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. Quantity prices start at $9 for a 6A model and range up to $23.50 for a 30A module. ASTEC POWER, Carlsbad, CA. (760) 930-4600.
