Gearing up for chores in power distribution systems, the hot-swappable HPS35 series bulk power supplies deliver up to 350W in a compact, 1U package measuring less than 400 cubic inches. Up to four modules can inhabit a 19" rack, providing an aggregate output of 1.4 kW. They are available with an output voltage of 12 Vdc with 48 and 24 Vdc versions on the horizon. Input voltages range from 90 to 264 Vac. Suitable for use in N+1 redundant configurations, other features include full current-sharing capabilities, typical active power-factor correction of greater than 0.98, over-voltage and -current protection, active inrush-current limiting, and built-in OR-ing diodes. Additionally, the modules operate without derating over a temperature range from -10°C to +50°C and conform to industry standards for shock and vibration. Operation from 50°C to 70°C is possible by derating the output by 2.5% per degree above 50°C. OEM pricing starts at less than $250 each for basic modules. ASTEC POWER, Carlsbad, CA. (760) 930-4600.
