Lauded as outperforming any similar components in their class, the Libra series isolated dc/dc bus converters offer 6:1, 5:1, and 4:1 fixed voltage conversion ratios in three form factors: eighth brick, quarter brick, and SIP. Each converter sports an industry standard footprint and pinout with an input voltage range from 40.5V to 55V. Other features include output currents up to 30A, typical efficiencies of 96%, a proprietary controller that allows for an additional 200 ms at startup, and a surface-mount, heat-sink option for a 20°C to 40°C thermal margin. Depending on form factor, prices range from $30 to $45 each/1,000. GALAXY POWER INC., Westborough, MA. (508) 870-9775.
