A new open-frame, isolated DC/DC converter has been designed with four unconventional wide input voltage ranges to meet the specific needs of telecommunications and embedded system applications. The OB series converter consists of 32 models with wide 4-to-1 input ranges of 4.5 to 16 Vdc, 8 to 18 Vdc, 8 to 32 Vdc, 18 to 72 Vdc and single outputs from 5 to 24 Vdc. A double-sided FR4 PCB construction permits operation over the temperature range of –25°C to +50°C without power derating. All models provide continuous short circuit protection and contain an internal input PI filter, eliminating the need for the addition of external components. Dimensions measure 1.26”L x 0.79”W x 0.41”H. Standard pin-outs provide convenient PCB mounting in new and existing applications. Pricing starts at $17 each. ASTRODYNE, Taunton, MA. (800) 823-8082.
