Establishing what may be a new industry record for power density, the 1U x 2U AP1200 ac front end measures 3.4" X 1.7" X 13" and is capable of outputting 100A at 12 Vdc, representing a power density of 16W per cubic inch. Up to five modules can to be mounted in a standard 19" rack for an output of 6 kW in a 1U high profile. Other features include power factor correction, N 1 redundancy, hot swap capability, and an I2C bus. Protection features include input and output over voltage, over temperature and over current with remote enable, ac good, and fault indicators. Price is $250 each in OEM quantities.
