Claiming best power/performance in its class, the 150W AML150 RoHS-compliant desktop power supply delivers a power density of 5.1W per cubic inch with a minimum efficiency of 88%. The supply is reportedly smaller than many lower power units of this type yet needs no internal or external fan to deliver full power in temperatures up to 40°C ambient and 60% power at 70°C. In a package measuring 171 mm x 72 mm x 40 mm, the component accepts a universal ac input with active PFC to meet EN61000-3-2, -3, and delivers a single output of 12, 15, 19, 20, or 24 Vdc. It comes with a 1,800-mm power cord terminated with a 4-pin DIN plug. Non-standard output voltages and connectors are also available. The unit includes an internal 4A fuse and offers over-temperature, over-voltage, and overload protection as standard features. Samples are available now, priced from $85 each/1,000.
