The 12V SBS170F thin-plate pure lead (TPPL) VRLA battery debuts as the latest member of the PowerSafe SBS line. Measuring 561 mm x 125 mm x 283 mm, it delivers up to 10% more power than conventional VRLA batteries in the same footprint, allowing users to provide additional capacity in existing cabinets and design new cabinets with smaller battery compartments. The battery's front-terminal design makes it easy to install and maintain and, due to pure-lead technology, it is more resistant to corrosion than lead-calcium batteries. This results in three times the shelf life of a traditional lead-acid battery and an increase in power density while maintaining a greater than 10-year design life.
