Introduced as the first regulated units in the Sensei series isolated dc/dc converters, the FPQR48T01215 and FPQR48T1214 come in an industry-standard quarter brick format and deliver up to 180W of output power with minimal derating at elevated temperatures. The converters are designed for intermediate bus architecture (IBA) and distributed power architecture (DPA) applications that require a regulated 12V bus. The FPQR48T01215 and FPQR48T1214 operate from 36V to 75V and 36V to 65V inputs, respectively, and specify efficiencies in excess of 91%. Shared features include input under-voltage lockout, output over-current protection, output over-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, remote output-voltage sense, and output-voltage trim via industry-standard trim equations. Additionally, the converters meet basic insulation requirements of EN60950 and include an input-to-output isolation of 1.5 kVdc. Samples are available now and price for either component is $47 each/1,000. FDK AMERICA INC., San Jose, CA. (408) 432-8331.
