Seven series of DC-DC converters in a range of output power levels from 0.25 W to 25 W are ideal for designers who want a simple and inexpensive way to perform simple voltage conversions at low power. The converters accept a wide range of input voltages, and the output power determines the package series and size—E400, E500, E700, E800, E900, E1200, and E1600. For example, the E712-5.06U is a 700 series DC-DC converter that changes a 12-VDC input voltage to 500 VDC@6 mA, unregulated. Custom variations are available within each series. Pricing varies depending on package size and output power. In 1000-piece quantities, pricing for the E500 and E700U series is $12.19 and $13.35, respectively.
