The PPWA150B series of ac-dc power supplies, developed by Power Partners, provides up to 150 W of output in a 2- by 4-in. footprint. As a result, power density equals18.75 W/in 3. They incorporate active power-factor correction and operate from a universal 90- to 264-V ac input. Single output voltages range from 12 to 48 V dc. The supplies feature 3000 V ac input-output isolation, and overvoltage and short-circuit protection are inherent in the design. Mean time between failure (MTBF) is 100,000 hours at full load. The RoHS-compliant PPWA150B series meets EN60950-1 and FCC Class B emission limits, and is approved to UL, CSA, and European safety standards. Available in U-channel or open-frame style, the devices will find homes in a broad range of test and measurement, communications, and peripheral applications.
