Murata Power Solutions’ RBE-12/20-D48 dc-dc converter delivers a regulated 12-V output at 240 W from a nominal 48-V dc input. Thanks to its 94.5% efficiency, most applications with forced-air cooling won’t require an external heatsink. Applications that don’t have forced-air cooling, or maintain a high operating temperature range, can employ an optional baseplate that allows for attaching a heatsink. It’s designed to meet DOSA eighth-rick configuration of 58.42 by 22.86 by 10.16 mm. Standard housing is a through-hole-mounted package, configured as an open-frame converter with 4.6-mm pins and n negative logic. Optional configurations featuring various pin lengths, positive control logic, conformal coating, etc. are available. The device includes thermal shutdown with auto restart (hiccup), overcurrent/short-circuit (with auto restart), and input undervoltage lockout protection. It’s fully isolated to 2250 V dc.
