Encasing eight, 1.5V AA batteries, the BK-6049 provides a 12V output with eight AA alkaline batteries in series or 9.6V with rechargeable batteries. A sliding switch in the case is recessed below the surface to prevent accidental activations and is rated for 0.5A. Dual sliding covers employ snap locking tabs and allow for quick battery changes without the use of tools. Made of UL94V-0 rated polypropylene for the case and covers, operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +180°C. Other features include spring steel nickel-plated springs and contacts.
