Touting excellent thermal performance and high efficiency for 3.3V and 5V input rails, three non-isolated, point-of-load (POL) dc/dc converters extend the DK Series.  The low-profile, surface-mount devices deliver up to 3A, 4A, and 6A of output current with efficiencies up to 94%. They provide a tightly regulated programmable output voltage in the range of 0.8 to 3.465 Vdc and deliver the full rated output current with no derating in ambient temperatures up to +85°C under natural convection. The 3A FPDK05SR8003PSV, 4A FPDK05SR8004PSV, and 6A FPDK05SR8006PSV are available in 16.7 mm x 10.2 mm x 3.4 mm SMD packages. Prices range from $5 to $6 each/1,000. FDK AMERICA INC., Sunnyvale, CA.
