4:1 Input Sixteenth Brick Converter Delivers 40W

Sept. 7, 2010
In a sixteenth-brick footprint, the CPT7A18 Cool Power Technologies 5V/8A dc/dc converter accepts a 4:1, 9- to 36-Vdc input.

In a sixteenth-brick footprint, the CPT7A18 Cool Power Technologies 5V/8A dc/dc converter accepts a 4:1, 9- to 36-Vdc input. The open-frame module provides a 40W output at 55°C and 200 lfm of airflow. It is compliant with DOSA footprint and interface standards and provides 1.5 kVdc of input to output isolation. Other features include efficiencies exceeding 87% from half through full load, fixed-frequency operation, auto-restart OVP, OCP and OTP protections, UVLO, remote sense, and +10/-20% output voltage trim using industry-standard equations. Remote ON/OFF is standard with positive or negative logic options available. SEMICONDUCTOR CIRCUITS INC., Atkinson, NH. (888) 438-3232.
