Miniature, 15W, 4:1 Input DC/DC Converters

MicroPower Direct announces the A1500RU series, a family of high performance 15W DC/DC converters packaged in a compact 24 pin DIP package. Standard features include wide 4:1 inputs; high efficiency; 1,600 VDC isolation and single & dual outputs.

Fourteen models operate from wide 4:1 inputs of 9 to 36 or 18 to 75 VDC; providing outputs of 3.3, 5.1, 12, 15, ±5, ±12, or ±15 VDC. Standard features include an input/output isolation of 1,600 VDC, efficiency to 90%, and robust filtering. All models include continuous short circuit protection, overload protection and are compliant to EN55022 & EN6100-4. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the A1500RU series is greater than 410 khours.

All models of the A1500RU family are packaged in a miniature 24-Pin DIP package, yielding a power density of 37.5W/In3. The pin-out is industry standard. Each model is specified over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C ambient.
