GE's APXW012 dc/dc converter expands the company's ProLynx family with a higher power alternative and added synchronization.

GE's APXW012 dc/dc converter expands the company's ProLynx family with a higher power alternative and added synchronization. It features an extended input voltage of 9 to 36 volts DC and programmable output voltage of 3 to 18 volts at 12 amps, which allows use across a wide range of industrial applications.

Offering 2.4 times the maximum power of previous ProLynx products, it is designed as part of a cost-effective alternative to discrete power design. The converter's Tunable Loop feature reduces needed output capacitance and improves transient response. The APXW012's innovative, patented AutoLimit feature enables this module to deliver power output across a wide voltage range, peaking at 108 watts at 18 output voltage. It also can be configured to deliver negative output (-3.3 to -18 volts), reducing parts inventory.

The ProLynx APXW012 is well-suited for industrial (automation, displays, test and measurement, security, lighting, signage, controls/control boards, energy and theater production); medical (imaging, clinical and lab equipment and instrumentation); military; aerospace; automotive (accessories and transportation); wireless and communications industries.
