Space-Saving 25-W DC-DCs Feature 2:1 Input

July 8, 2014
The QMS dc-dc converter series from ConTech offers up to 25 W of fully regulated output power as well as a 2:1 input range with nominal input voltages of 12, 24, and 48 V dc.

The QMS dc-dc converter series from ConTech offers up to 25 W of fully regulated output power as well as a 2:1 input range with nominal input voltages of 12, 24, and 48 V dc. Single outputs include 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 V dc, while dual outputs are ±12 and ±15 V dc. Efficiencies reach as high as 90%. Other features include remote on/off, output trim, and short-circuit protection. The RoHS-compliant converters are encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in a six-sided metal case to improve thermal performance in still-air environments. Their 1- by 1-in. package footprint is the same as that of a standard 1- by 2-in. package, thus saving space. Operating temperature ranges from ‒40 to +50°C with no de-rating.
