Quadrant Photodiode Has 5 mm² Active Area

Opto Diode introduces the SXUVPS4C, a quadrant photodiode with a 5 mm2 active area in each quadrant.
Feb. 21, 2014

The SXUVPS4C quadrant photodiode from Opto Diode has a 5 mm2 active area in each quadrant.  The convenient TO-5 windowless package features a 5-pin header, making it easy to integrate into new or existing systems. With light responsivity from 1 to 1000 nm and a shunt resistance of 100 MΩ, the new quadrant photodiode is ideal for two axes-positional-centering applications for lasers in the 13.5 nm to 200 nm wavelength range. The proven stability over time and high-power, short wavelength applications ensure stable responsivity over years, for the typical application.

Operating and storage temperatures range from -10 °C to 40 °C (ambient) and from -20 °C to 80 °C (in nitrogen or vacuum conditions). The maximum junction temperature is 70 °C and the lead-soldering temperature is 260 °C at 0.080 in. from the case for 10 seconds.
