LVDS Cscillator Suits High Performance/Temperature Clocking

Feb. 24, 2014
Precision Devices announced the extended temperature version of the LV7 series of clock oscillator products.

An extended temperature version of the LV7 series of clock oscillator products from Precision Devices is ideally suited for the communication systems where low jitter is mandated by chipset suppliers and system level performance demands.

The LV7 series has been expanded to support temperatures of -55 °C to +125 °C (stability of +/-50 parts per million) for harsh environments and space applications while offering stabilities as tight as +/-25 ppm from -40 to +85 °C. The LVDS output offers integrated jitter of 0.3pS typical across the carrier offset range of 12 kHz to 20 MHz. It is available in the industry standard 5mm x 7mm ceramic package in either 3.3 V or 2.5 V operating supply. Standard and custom frequencies to 200 MHz are available.

The extended temperature addition to the LV7 series oscillators expands the company's existing product offering even further for harsh environments. It fits the latest low voltage operating logic used in communication systems.
