A new addition to Delta Electronics’ Delphi Series, the S36SE dc-dc converter provides a 4-to-1 input voltage range in a 1-in. x 1-in. module. The board-mounted power module is a pin-for-pin replacement for industry-standard 1-in. x 2-in. products, but in the smaller footprint. (Actual dimensions are 1.1 in. x 0.96-in. x 0.33-in.) The S36SE provides up to 17 W of output power or up to 5 A of output current for 3.3 V and below.

The converter operates from an input range of 18 V to 75 V and is available in output voltages from 3.3 V (5 A) to 15 V (1 A). Typical efficiency of a 3.3-V module at the full 5-A load is greater than 87%.

A host of industry-standard features insure that this unit will reliably perform in harsh environments and all modules are fully protected against abnormal input/output voltage, current, and temperature conditions.
