Vicor has added seven mid-power Micro dc-dc converters to the high-density 300-Vdc input family of devices, which are appropriate for designing off-line power systems. The additions include two 50-W models, one with a VOUT of 3.3 V and the other at 5 V, and five 75-W models with a VOUT of 12 V, 15 V, 24 V, 28 V, and 48 V.. The converters operate from 300 V nominal input, with an input range of 180 V to 375 V, and have power densities up to 90 W/in.3 with efficiencies up to 90%.

The modules, which are RoHS compliant (with F or G pin option), are 2.28 in. x 1.45 in. x 0.5 in. in size with a height above board of 0.43 in. Pricing for the mid-power Micros begins as low as $0.72/W in quantities of 1000.
