Power-One’s EMS Series of eighth-brick dc-dc converters now include two single-output models that deliver 3.3 V at 15 A and 5 V at 10 A from an 18-V to 60-V input range. Efficiencies exceeding 90%, combined with advanced thermal management techniques, facilitate industry-leading 70°C performance. Only 200 LFM of cooling is needed for the 5-V output at full-power operation when input voltage is either 24 V or 48 V.

Input-to-output isolation is 1500 Vdc. The units can start up into highly capacitive loads, and feature low conducted and radiated EMI. Now sampling, units are priced at $36 each in quantities of 1000.
