C&D Technologies, a producer and marketer of electrical power storage and conversion systems, has announced that as of June 30, 2006, all designated electrical and electronic equipment that C&D sells into the European Union are (RoHS) compliant.

"We have succeeded in meeting the requirements of RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC by eliminating the use of banned substances in designated products sold into the European Union," said Dr. Jeffrey Graves, President and CEO of C&D Technologies. "As similar regulations are now being adopted in other geographies around the world, C&D is now offering customers world-wide RoHS compliant products that meet their specific needs and implementation timetables. This capability represents a key milestone in the integration of our electronics business and acceleration of our design activities to support the needs of our global customer base."
