The HP UPS R1500 G2 from HP is an efficient 1500-VA rack-mount uninterruptible power system (UPS) to reduce the need for additional rack space while maintaining high-availability power backup. With up to 1500VA/1000 W, the UPS measures just 1U, or 1.75 in.
The HP UPS utilizes a line-interactive topology which features sine wave output and input/output voltage regulation. The HP UPS can correct input voltage variations as low as –35% of nominal voltage without transferring to the battery.
The UPS provides surge protection and has two separate load segments which provide the flexibility to configure each segment's scheduled startups and shutdowns. Working in conjunction with HP Power Management Software, the UPS can be configured to extend the runtime for more critical devices.
Bundled with HP Power Manager management software, the HP UPS R1500 G2 also features a serial and USB port for data exchange with the host computer and remote shutdown. The UPS comes with a $250,000 load-protection guarantee. The HP UPS R1500 G2 is available now for $739.
