Phihong Technology has opened a facility in Suzhou, China. Located close to Shanghai five miles from their existing facility in Suzhou, the 1 million-square-foot plant will house up to 50 production lines and employ over 9000 workers.
“The large facility allows us to double our manufacturing capacity which will enable us to meet our growth expectations without being limited by capacity,” said Jack Kuo, president and general manager of Phihong Technology. “For the last several years, we have been able to meet our customers dynamic business needs without being concerned with capacity constraints. This investment will ensure we maintain this position moving forward”
Among the products the facility will be manufacturing are Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) mid-spans, open-frame power supplies, and redundant power sources; a wide range of power adapters that meet a variety of energy-saving regulations, such as California Energy Commission requirements; and lighting ballasts.
The investment of over $30 million for facilities and equipment will enable Phihong to manufacture up to 50 million power supplies per month. The facility provides high growth capability, and also provides their customers with disaster protection against weather or pandemic that may impact Phihong’s other major manufacturing sites in Dongguan, Tainjin and Brazil.
