The Xhite series of Modular Power Supplies from Excelsys offer full load operation up to 70°C making it ideal for use in harsh-environment applications with high ambient temperatures and wide temperature fluctuations.

The Xhite series of Modular Power Supplies from Excelsys offer full load operation up to 70°C making it ideal for use in harsh-environment applications with high ambient temperatures and wide temperature fluctuations. The series consists of 2 PowerPac chassis, with ratings of 400 W or 600 W and a complete family of field-configurable plug-in dc output modules. The PowerPacs feature universal input (85 Vac to 264 Vac) with plug-in modules offering user-defined output voltages ranging from 1.5 Vdc to 58 Vdc (single & dual output modules). All configurations are approved to UL60950 / EN60950 and are EN55022 / FCC level B rated for conducted and radiated emissions.

The Xhite series employs a two-transistor forward converter front-end and zero-voltage resonant switching with plug-in dc output modules that employ planar magnetics, surface-mount components and high-efficiency dc-dc conversion techniques. The series is packaged in a 9.85-in. x 5.00-in. x 1.57-in. form factor. The dc outputs are floating with no minimum load requirements, ±0.1% line regulation, and load regulation of ±0.2%.

Outputs can be connected in series or parallel for increased power and feature overvoltage, overcurrent and overtemperature protection. Standard signal options include mains power fail, global inhibit/enable, 5-V standby, output power good, output inhibit/enable, remote sense and remote adjust. A specifications and application guide and a field integration kit are available on-line.
