Tyco Electronics’ Austin MegaLynx series of POL dc-dc converters in SMT packages are designed to power the latest FPGAs and ASICs. The converters provide up to 30 A of output current. The series also achieves efficiencies greater than 92.5%.

The series includes four versions. The ATS020 and ATS030 support an input voltage range of 6 Vdc to 14 Vdc, with a programmable output voltage range of 0.8 Vdc to 3.63 Vdc and 0.8 Vdc to 2.75 Vdc, respectively. The ATH version supports an input voltage range of 4.5 Vdc to 5.5 Vdc, with an output voltage range of 0.8 Vdc to 3.63 Vdc. The ATM version supports an input voltage range of 2.7 Vdc to 5.5 Vdc, and an output voltage range of 0.8 Vdc to 2.0 Vdc. The converters measure 33.0 mm x 9.1 mm x 13.5 mm. Pricing is $18.00 each for 1000 units.
