Power-One announced that in rulings issued on July 30, 2007, the Court ruled against Artesyn Technologies (a wholly owned subsidiary of Emerson Electric) on all motions seeking summary judgment, and ruled that the case will proceed to a jury trial. In motions recently filed by Power-One, Power-One is seeking to add Emerson Electric and Astec America as named defendants. Power-One also filed motions with the Court to add products to the trial as infringing Power-One's Z-One patents.

The Court has rescheduled the jury trial date, originally planned for August, to a trial date in November, 2007. Power-One's Chief Executive Officer, Bill Yeates, commented, "Obviously, we are pleased with the judge's ruling against Artesyn on summary judgment. While we would like to conclude the trial as quickly as possible, we look forward to resolving the questions of infringement on all products, and all other issues, in November."
